unquiet mind II

feelings exist that will not fade.

momentary lapses in judgement

have laid the groundwork for involuntary criticism

of the mind by workers unknown.

the strings can not be cut
for years undetermined.
indecent thoughts dissolve the cerebellum.
a hole in ego leaks all that is left.
outside fades in.
lavish locusts form a tribe.
formerly a tribe of men.
learn to fear and run from the light.
the rays seek darkness.

in spite of all odds
i feel pain and regret.
nerves are tense
trembling even.
the marvel of my imagination
escapes me moment by moment.
i fear quiet places
unless there is dirt.
i spit insincere narratives.
my flesh is made of mistakes.
gums bleed
and teeth are splintered.
mercy pleads for my forgiveness.
my sins are stained with pleasure.
i dream with a bag over my head.
